WE WERE HERE: A special Bicentennial Exhibit and Cultural Celebration

Join us for this special Lorain County Bicentennial Exhibit and Cultural Celebration the week of September 9-13, featured at the LCCC Commons.

Friends are invited to a special reception on Wednesday, September 11th to experience the exhibit with live music by Mariachi Jalisco de Detroit, Jazz and more! Mingle is at 5:00 PM, with the program beginning at 6:00 PM.

Featured exhibits include:

  • Celebrating 100 Years of Latino History in Lorain

  • Stories of Black Elyria - 1800’s-1960’s

  • Mary Church Terrell - Oberlin College Educator & Activist

  • Toni Morrison - Nobel Laureate
